KARACHI: Bus driver shot dead

KARACHI, Jan 16: A passenger coach driver was shot dead in Garden area on Thursday evening.

Police said that an Awan coach was intercepted by two unidentified motorcyclists near Aulia Masjid in Garden. The assailants opened fire on Wali Mohammed, aged 30, and drove off.

The coach driver was rushed to Civil Hospital where he died.

A woman passenger was also slightly injured when a bullet piercing through the driver’s body hit her. She was taken to Civil Hospital.

Police suspected personal enmity to be a probable motive for the killing.

A young man who was shot and injured on Wednesday in Mithadar died on Thursday.

Qamar Mohammed, aged 34, was shot and injured by unidentified men at City railway station in the police limits of Mithadar. He was admitted to Civil Hospital where he died.

A young man was killed in Orangi Town on Thursday.

Police said that Abdul Rahman, aged 20, was stabbed to death by unidentified men during a quarrel in Baloch Goth, Orangi Town.
