KARACHI, Jan 13: The Executive District Officer (EDO) and Managing Director of the Water and Sanitation Department, Brig Sardar Javed Ashraf (retired), has ordered plugging of seepage in the lines of water trunk main on a priority basis.

During a visit to the trunk main on Saturday, he inspected the seepage in water supply line of 24-inch diameter that supplies water to Mehmoodabd at Amir Khusro Road; the 33-inch line at scheme 33; 54-inch line of Jamshed Town, Temple Reservoir and 8 seepage locations in 48-inch water supply line of Banaras Chowk to Urdu Chowk area.

Brig Javed directed the chief engineer to conduct weekly inspections of the water supply lines.—PPI
