KOHAT: 45 criminals arrested in Kohat

KOHAT, Jan 12: The Kohat police arrested 45 criminals, including two proclaimed offenders, in a special campaign against anti-social elements and illegal arms during the last 24 hours, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

The police raided several video shops and recovered 18 obscene CDs and arrested 11 operators of mini cinemas.

The drugs and arms seized during the campaign included 6kg of fine quality charas, seven Kalashnikovs, one repeater, six rifles and nine pistols. The proclaimed offenders nabbed were identified as Noor Rehman and Awal Khan.

The campaign has been launched on the instructions of the DIG of Kohat region, Ghulam Mohammad.
