TIMERGARA, Jan 7: Lower Dir District Nazim Advocate Alamzeb Khan has said that Rs147.49 million has been approved for the upgradation of district headquarters hospital.

Presiding over a meeting of the district development committee on Tuesday, the Nazim said that the upgradation of the Timergara DHQ hospital to category-A would save the people from travelling to far off areas in search of better health facilities.

He informed the meeting that nearly all the facilities at the hospital would be doubled and the number of beds would be increased from 245 to 350.

Similarly, 19 more private rooms would be established besides the construction of two doctors hostels, flats and a nursing hostel, he added.

The Nazim assured the meeting that better equipments would be provided to bring the hospital at par with other main hospitals of the province.
