PESHAWAR, Jan 7: The Awami National Party (ANP) will hold public meetings at district level between Jan 20 and 27 to mark the 15th death anniversary of Abdul Ghaffar Khan - founder of the Red Shirt Movement.

ANP provincial chief Bashir Bilour presided over a meeting of the working committee held on Monday to formulate programme for the week-long mass mobilization drive in connection with the death anniversary of Mr Khan.

The meeting set up three committees to carry out visits to various districts of the province to mark the occasion. Asfandyar Wali Khan, Begum Nasim Wali Khan and Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour would lead each committee to hold meetings and mass mobilization programmes.

In addition to chalking out programmes to mark the death anniversary, several other issues were also discussed at the meeting.
