HYDERABAD, Jan 7: The Elementary College Teachers Association has demanded of the Sindh government to decide promotion and selection grade cases of elementary college teachers without further delay.

At a meeting held here on Monday, the association pointed out promotion and selection grade cases of many teachers, lecturers, associate professors and principals were pending.

The meeting demanded vacant posts should be filled on recommendations of the Sindh Public Service Commission and through promotions.

It called for restoration of the post of additional director at the Teachers Training Institution.

The meeting expressed grief over the demise of noted Sindhi poet Niaz Humayooni.

Haroon Laghari presided over the meeting.

TRANSFERRED: As per notification of the Sindh education department, the Government Elementary School and the Government Primary School, Mirpur Bathoro, which were working under supervision of the Government Elementary College for Education, Mir-pur Bathoro, were transferred to the Thatta district government.
