HYDERABAD, Jan 7: An exhibition of art and craft of three artists — Dr Zubaida Junejo, Waheeda Kazi and Nida Asif — was inaugurated at the museum of the Institute of Sindhology on Tuesday.

The artwork of Dr Zubaida was displayed under the title of “Relief Embroidery with Fabric Colours”.

She, in her work, depicted different cultures through dresses and jewellry.

Waheeda’s artwork was on calligraphy and Nida displayed colour cards and developed different models.

A large number of teachers and students of the University of Sindh and art lovers attended the inaugural session of the exhibition.

Earlier, inaugurating the exhibition, Sindh University vice-chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui urged artists to highlight problems of people through their works.

He hailed the Institute of Sindhology for organizing such exhibitions, which, he said, would promote works of artists.

The exhibition will continue till Feb 6.

The last date for submitting the examination forms has been fixed at Jan 15.

SEMINAR: The dean, faculty of natural sciences, University of Sindh, on Tuesday notified the final PhD seminar of Ghulam Qadir Shar would be held on Jan 9 at the centre of excellence in analytical chemistry department.

Research scholars have been invited to attend the presentation.
