NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 6: Three brothers, Mujahid Khushik, Abdul Majeed and Mukhtiar, were killed on Monday after Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, Zamir Hussain Shah and Iqbal Shah opened fire on them.
The killing was attributed to an old enmity.
Meanwhile, the Kandiaro police have arrested a man, identified as Sharif Khushik, on Sunday night.
A Kalashnikov has been recovered from his possession.
CONVENTION: A convention of the Sindh Baldia Workers Federation was held here at the taluka council hall the other day.
The participants of the convention called for regular payment of salary to workers through the treasury office all over Sindh besides demanding confirmation of services of sanitary workers working on a temporary basis.
The conference was arranged by the Baldia Workers Federation, Naushahro Feroze district, and was attended by the representatives of the municipal employees’ associations from different parts of Sindh as well as from Punjab.
Speakers, on the occasion, complained about the non-payment of salaries to the workers on a regular basis, adding that pensioners had also not been paid for the past several months.
They threatened to go on strike if their demands were not accepted.
