Missing cab driver found murdered

RAWALPINDI, Dec 31: A taxi driver was found murdered in his abandoned cab parked near Rawal Lake on Tuesday, police sources said.

Altaf Hussain left his house in the taxi (LOE-1915) on Monday night but did not return, they added. The sources said on Tuesday, the police found a body lying in an abandoned taxi on a deserted road and later identified it to be of Altaf Hussain. The body has been shifted to Pims hospital for autopsy, they added.

According to the police, the deceased had been shot in his head by some persons, who managed to escape. Ikhlaq Ahmed, the brother of the deceased, told the police that his brother had no enmity with any one.
