KARACHI, Nov 22: A press release of the department of investment promotion city government Karachi issued here on Thursday said appropriate prices of eatables had been determined and their list had been published.

The shopkeepers were asked to display it conspicuously.

Steps were also taken to control the prices of vegetables and fruits and for determining their appropriate rates on daily basis.

The prices of vegetables and fruits that are determined at the Sabzi Mandi by the Market Committee in the presence of the representatives of consumers and the department of investment promotion, and their list is also issued daily so that the consumers could purchase these items accordingly.

The town Nazims and Naib Nazims have been visiting their respective areas to ensure provision of such items to the consumers at appropriate rates.—APP
