KARACHI, Dec 26: Only one ship Global Paramount to unload containers is expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Two ships, Kota Intan to unload containers and Handy Logger to offload general cargo were allotted berths. Five ships were sailed off. They were: Trade Eternity, APL Dalian, Banglar Mamata, Kota Intan and Labasee while four ships, Yasa Aysen, Dubai, Mol Sincerity and Handy Logger are expected to leave the port on Friday.

Berth occupancy remained modest due to slow arrivals as it was fell to 27 per cent on dry wharves while on oil piers it remained steady at 67 per cent.

A cargo volume of 105,021 tons comprising 14,325 tons of export cargo and 90,696 tons of import cargo was handled.
