LAHORE, Aug 31: The Election Commission has announced polling schedule for Punjab Assembly constituencies PP-226 (Sahiwal) and PP-295 (Rahim Yar Khan).
Nominations papers for both the seats can be filed on Sept 10 and 11, while polling for the two constituencies will be held on Oct 4, says a press release issued by the ECP. PP-226 stood vacated after MPA Malik Iqbal Langriyal was disqualified for submitting a bogus graduation degree to the ECP in the 2008 polls, while Abdul Qadir Gilani resigned from PP-295 after being elected as MNA from NA-151 (Multan) recently. — Staff Reporter
