QUETTA, Oct 9: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam has denied the involvement of the party workers and supporters in the violent incidents occurred in the provincial capital on Monday and condemned these incidents.
Speaking at a press conference Maulana Noor Mohammad, Amir of JUI, Quetta, said his party has nothing to do with these incidents — lootings, damaging of property, shops and banks.
He said that the JUI has not given any call for strike in Quetta.
The JUI leader said that Haji Mohammad died in violence was JUI man and he was killed in police firing. He said that the police has also arrested a large number of party workers but he was not informed about their numbers.
