LAHORE, Dec 21: Railway Minister Ghaus Bakhsh Mehr has directed the railway management to provide fast train facility to the people of the area (Shikarpur) he belonged to.
Under the direction the management has planned to extend the route of a passenger train at present running between Karachi and Sukkur to Jacobabad.
The train with extended route will leave Karachi for Jacobabad via Shikarpur on Dec 26. However, its operation will be formally inaugurated by the minister at Sukkur railway station on Dec 27 on its return from Jacobabad.
Earlier, Jacobabad district Nazim will see off the train from Jacobabad station.
