LAHORE, Dec 20: A last-gasp goal by Taimur Malik enabled Black Berets to beat Sherwood 4-3 1/2 in a well contested match of the Winter Cup polo on Friday.

At the end of the third chukker Sherwood were leading 3 1/2-3 due to their half goal advantage on handicap. Taimur who had scored two goals in the match, struck the match winner.

Talha put Black Berets ahead 1- 1/2 by converting a 30 yards penalty hit in the first chukker. But Omer Shahbaz brought Sherwood forward by a half goal when he scored a goal on field attempt.

Sherwood managed to again maintain the half goal lead  when  Shehzad Aziz scored a field goal off a fine  pass  of Amanat.  Asif  Zahoor scored third goal  of  Black  Berets before the second chukker was closed. That gave Black Berets 3-2 1/2 lead.
