OKARA, Aug 4: Traders have wasted no time in occupying the space on a newly-constructed footpath on the disposal drain on the Grain Market Road.

The district administration had removed all encroachments from there before the start of the development work a few months back.

It seems as if former encroachers were waiting for the completion of work on the disposal drain which has been covered and is being used as a footpath. Even some traders of the Grain Market have started demolishing its 80-year-old demarcation wall to extend their shops up to the footpath.  Citizens have urged the authorities concerned to take immediate action against the encroachers so as to save the newly-constructed footpath.
