HYDERABAD, Aug 2: Activists of civil society organisations demonstrated outside the press club on Thursday to express solidarity with Engineer Agha Waqar Ahmad Pathan for invention of a kit which can run car engines on water.

They chanted slogans in his favour and paid tribute to him, calling him national hero. Representatives of civil society organisations, including Irfan Baloch, Dost Muhammad Baloch, Ashok Kumar and others were present on the occasion. They demanded of the government to patronise him so that common people could use the water-kit which would benefit everyone.

They said that if the newly-invented kit was introduced in open market, prices of imported petroleum products would fall and the country would prosper.

They said that mafia of petroleum and CNG products was trying to discourage the inventor but the government and people should encourage him and stop levelling allegations of fraud against him.
