KHAIRPUR, Aug 2: Viral disease which broke in the peacocks of Thar has affected peacocks in Nara taluka of district Khairpur.

Niaz Hussain, a villager, said on Thursday that his two peacocks had died of the disease and one more was suffering from it.

He said there were reports that two more peacocks had died in the village of Sawan because of the same virus. However, no doctor has come for vaccination of peacocks.

The former UC Nazim of Tajjal Sharif said people in Nara taluka in Thar area kept peacocks as pets.
