PESHAWAR, July 28: Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Saturday that Public Accounts Committee of the provincial assembly was a high level decision making body and the government was bound to implement its decisions.

Talking to a representative delegation from Saleh Khana of his constituency PK-12 here, the minister assured that he would talk to the chief minister about giving ownership rights to the people living on state land in Saleh Khana and will remove their grievances to this effect.

It merits mentioning here that out of 6,000 kanal state land in Saleh Khana, 980 kanal was under use of the people since decades.

These people were served notices for vacation of the land during MMA government.

He said he would convince the chief minister to give ownership rights to the occupants of the land after fulfilling all the legal formalities.— APP
