RAWALPINDI, Dec 17: Additional District and Sessions Judge Syed Pervez Ali Shah on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of ten police officials for not recording their statements as witness in different cases.
The same court also summoned two doctors of Rawalpindi General Hospital (RGH) for not appearing in the court in a Hudood Ordinance case.
The court served the arrest warrants on sub-inspectors, CIA, Malik Ghulam Abbas and Mohammad Nawaz besides SI Westridge police station Mohammad Bashir and constable excise mobile squad Basharat Ali for not recording their statements in a narcotics case.
In another case, the same court issued arrest warrants of SI Westridge Mohammad Bashir, SI, CIA, Ghulam Abbas besides Chaudhry Ibrar Asif and Jehangir Khan, inspector and constable of excise mobile squad, respectively.
In a Hud Zina case, State Vs Mohammad Yaqoob etc, the same court summoned the medical officers (MOs) of Rawalpindi General Hospital (RGH) Dr Akbar Nadeem and lady Doctor Zarena through the SSP, Rawalpindi for recording their statements as witnesses.
The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrant of ASI Airport police Mazhar Hussain in a rape case.
The court also issued the arrest warrant of the station house officer (SHO) of Sadar Bairuni police station Suhail Usman for not recording his statement in a murder case. The court directed the SHO to submit a surety bond of Rs 10,000 in the court.
