KARACHI, Dec 13: Following the takeover of the administration of the Institute of Behavioural Sciences (IBS) by a group, five of its six doctors have tendered their resignations, it is learnt. The sixth one is currently in the United States on leave and expected to return in about a month.

The five doctors — Dr Uzma Ambareen, Dr Syed Ali Wasif (senior registrar), Dr Anita Aijaz (registrar), Dr Syed Mohammad Kasim and Dr Rubina Kidwai (clinical psychologist) — have given a 15-day notice to the IBS saying that they could not continue with the job after the period.

They have informed the IBS that they were unable to continue with the service under the current circumstances.

It may be recalled that the management of the IBS has been taken over by a group a few days back driving the old management out of the institute.
