KARACHI: Nepalese varsity team in city

KARACHI, Dec 13: A delegation of Tri Bhon University of Nepal, led by Prof Prem Raj Pinth, visited the Sir Syed University on Thursday.

The delegation was informed that the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association had established the institution on a self-help basis.

The rector of the Nepali university said that Pakistan’s ambassador in Nepal had told them to visit the Aga Khan University, the Sir Syed University and other public sector institutions.

Later, the delegation was taken on a round to different departments and laboratories.

Recording his impression in the visitor’s book, Prof Raj Pinth observed that the standard of laboratories of the university was very high and the institution has attained a very important status in a short period. He showed interest in developing partnership with the university.

CPSP: Prof Prem Rajpant, incharge, Institute of Medicine University of Tribhuvan, Nepal, has underscored the need for a close cooperation between his country and Pakistan in the field of medical sciences and research.

Speaking at a reception held in his honour at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, Prof Rajpant sought cooperation and assistance of Pakistani medical experts to help strengthen medical education and training in his country on modern line.

He said that an initiative had already been taken with the establishment of a CPSP’s regional centre in Nepal.

The reception was also attended by council members of the CPSP.—APP
