THIS refers to the killing of the people in an attack on the Attock-bound bus. According to the news item ‘Bus attacked near Nawabshah, seven killed (May 26), the police recovered pamphlets of the ‘Sindhu Desh Liberation Army’, and the assailants announced that they had avenged the killing of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz leader Muzaffar Quershi and others.

The only worry of the people of Sindh now is what is stopping the police from arresting the killers of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz leader and taking them to court.

The country is governed by laws and if anybody is found guilty, he must be tried and punished or acquitted according to the law.

By not doing so, the only thing which will be proved is that either the police are above the law or these culprits are. What I believe is that none is above the law.

The only thing is that the law has to take its course through better enforcement which is through the police.

Let the Senior Superintendent of Police concerned be held responsible for bad enforcement of the law.
