LAHORE: A court in Lahore reserved its judgment in a petition calling for registering a case against Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, DawnNews reported.

The petition, filed by one Nauman Ahmed, said that he had been promised a job by A Q Gilani who had instead defrauded the petitioner of nearly 400,000 rupees.

The petitioner had also alleged that he had been threatened with dire consequences in case he demanded back the amount he had paid. The petitioner said the accused was an affluent member of society and that the police had not taken any steps to provide him relief.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Javed Iqbal Shaikh heard the arguments of both parties and subsequently reserved its verdict.

The hearing of the case has been adjourned till June 9.
