Nazim resigns to contest by-election

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 12: The Tehsil Nazim of Kulachi, Sardar Israrullah Khan Gandapur, has resigned to contest for provincial seat, PF-67, in the forthcoming by-election.

His resignation has been sent to the chief executive of the NWFP.

Sardar Israrullah is the youngest son of the former chief minister, Sardar Inayatullah Khan Gandapur, who won the October election from PF-66 and PF-67 constituencies and vacated the PF-67.

Talking to newsmen at his residence in Kulachi on Wednesday, Sardar Israrullah said his decision to tender resignation and the vacation of PF-67 seat was taken in consultation with the elders of Gandapur, Babar, Miankhel and Ustrana tribes.
