PESHAWAR, Dec 12: PPP-S MPA Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao has impressed upon the multinational tobacco companies to review the decision of shifting the depots from various areas of the province, says a press release.

He deplored that the proposed measure had created panic amongst the hapless tobacco growers. Tobacco was a cash crop and provided livelihood to the people, he added.

He resented that the farmers were already hard-pressed due to the financial constraints and urged the government to provide relief to them against the unprecedented price-hike in the country. He said that being the backbone of the national economy agriculture should be paid due attention.
