HYDERABAD, Dec 9: Resentment was witnessed among the visitors of Rani Bagh (municipal zoo) here on three Eid days as they had to pay an entry fees of Rs2 per person, imposed by the Qasimabad taluka council.
It is for the first time that the entry fees has been levied at Rani Bagh, which is the only recreational place for the residents of Hyderabad and its surroundings areas
The entry fee is said to have been levied on the eve of Eid to generate maximum income and the turn out of the visitors on Eid days indicated that the contractor as well as the taluka council might have earned a good amount.
According to Naib Nazim, Qasimabad taluka, Rafi Abbasi, the tax was imposed to generate income for the zoo.
