ICC chief due today

KARACHI, Dec 4: The President International Cricket Council (ICC) Malcolm Gray is due to arrive here Thursday to attend a two-day ICC Development Committee meeting being held in Lahore from Dec 7.

After arrival in Karachi, ICC chief will be flying to Rawalpindi where he was schedule to meet President General Pervez Musharraf, who is also the Patron of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). PCB chairman Lt.Gen. Tauqir Zia will also attend that meeting.

Tauqir said he did not know what President Musharraf would be conveying to Malcolm Gray, but added that both were likely to discuss latest security situation in Pakistan.

He said Mr Gray was also interested in meeting officials of embassies from Australia, Bangladesh, South Africa and Sri Lanka.—APP
