Gulfaraz XI scoops trophy

KARACHI, Dec 4: Gulfaraz XI won the Ramazan Champions Trophy hockey tournament title after a deserved 4-0 victory over Zubair XI Tuesday.

The winners got off to a flying start as they took 2-0 lead before the halftime and hammered home twice in the second session to win the trophy.

Olympian Kamran Ashraf slammed home the first in the 9th minute, while former international Arif Bhopali banged home through a crowded circle in the 13th minute after an opportunist strike.

International Asif Ahmad made it 3-0 in the 43rd minute and Imran Khan completed the tally in the 54th minute.
