PQA triumph

KARACHI, March 1: Candyland suffered another defeat in the CCA Qualifier Cricket League when they went down by nine wickets to Port Qasim Authority (PQA) at the NBP Sports Complex here on Thursday.

Batting first, Candyland were dismissed inside 23 overs for a paltry total of 63 with Jaahid Ali scoring 23 off 61 balls.

Zohaib Shera snared four wickets for 34 runs, Tabish Nawab took 2-10 and Masoom Ali 2-6.

PQA wrapped up the match in 12.1 overs by making 64-1. Ali Jawwad struck five boundaries in his run-a-ball innings of 34.

PQA collected 31 points for their convincing victory, while Candyland failed to open their account at all.
