RAWALPINDI, Dec 1: The immigration authorities at Islamabad Airport on Sunday offloaded 19 passengers, trying to travel to London, Saudi Arabia and Libya and also arrested an agent on charges of providing fake documents to a family, an official source said.
Sardar Abdul Azim, the assistant director FIA immigration, said Mrs Ameena, real name Onaiza Bukhari, along with her two children, was offloaded from a London-bound flight (PK-785). She had paid Rs650,000 to an agent identified as Shahid — a resident of Dhoke Chiragh Din, who arranged travelling documents for her and her children.
Their documents were found fake when examined by the FIA authorities.
The authorities said a sub-agent, Mohammad Asif, who had come to see-off the family, had been arrested from the airport.
Similarly, Ibrahim, real name Ahmad Nawaz, was offloaded from PK-753 for having a forged passport while check-in of Saudi Arabia-bound flight was under progress.
The authorities said 15 passengers were offloaded from Emirates flight (EK-615) proceeding to Libya. They had paid Rs130,000 to Rs160,000 to Abdul Hameed, proprietor of Golden Security Agency, Rawalpindi.
The 15 offloaded passengers were identified by the FIA authorities as Falak Sher, Mohammad Aslam, Azhar Iqbal, Shehzad Akhtar, Imtiaz Hussain, Mohammad Sajid, Malik Kausar Rehman, Zulfiqar Ali, Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Saleem, Fazal Shah, Mohammad Asghar, Nasir Mehmood, Babar Hussain and Imran Saeed.
