ISLAMABAD, Nov 29: The PPP memebr National Assembly and the central coordinator, human rights desk, Fauzia Wahab has appealed to the Commonwealth secretary-general, Don McKinnon, to raise his voice on issues mentioned in the UN Observers report.

The report on Pakistani elections was prepared by the UN Observers team, headed by John Cushnahan, and presented it to the European Parliament. The EU parliament endorsed the conclusions of the report by a vote of 415 to 3 that the elections were seriously flawed.

Ms Fauzia in her letter wrote, the EU report strengthens the verdict of the PPP that the election results failed to reflect the will of the people.

She said, “the PPP believes that the said elections were massively rigged from the beginning to the end.

The PPP found the administration biased, the state media politically motivated, the electoral lists flawed, the polling stations wrongly places and the intelligence used blatantly to create, fund and run the ‘King’s party’ and its allies”, she added.

Most crucially the PPP attacked the vote count system where vote results were withheld for three hours to thirty six hours to change the results she said.
