Cabinet ceases to exist

LAHORE, Nov 29: Following the assumption of office of the Punjab Chief Minister by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the cabinet of Governor Khalid Maqbool has ceased to exist, according to an official notification issued here on Friday.

The cabinet included Mr Akhtar Saeed (Education), Lt-Gen Muhammad Tariq (Housing and Communications), Malik Muhammad Aslam Khan (Revenue), Khurshid Zaman Qureshi (Agriculture), Hamid Saeed Akhtar (Local Govern-ment), Prof Mehmood Ahmad (Health), Tariq Hameed (Finance), Mufti Ghulam Sarwar (Auqaf), Rana Ejaz Ahmad Khan (Law) and Yasoob Dogar (Advisor on Public Affairs). — Staff Reporter
