Shaukat to visit KSE

KARACHI, Nov 28: Shaukat Aziz, adviser to Prime Minister on Finance & Economic Affairs, would visit the Karachi Stock Exchange on Monday, Dec 2.

The invitation to visit KSE was extended to Mr Shaukat Aziz, by the KSE Managing Director Moin M. Fudda, who called on him at Islamabad on Wednesday. During the meeting with Mr. Aziz, the KSE MD discussed various matters related to the development of capital market, a press release issued by the bourse on Thursday said.

Mr Fudda invited Mr Aziz to come over to KSE and apprise members of the Exchange about the policies of the new government. The invitation was accepted by the adviser on Finance & Economic Affairs, the KSE press release concluded.

Analysts say that the visit of Shaukat Aziz has been well-timed. The assurance by Mr Aziz of the continuation of economic policies, would give big boost to investor sentiments. Climbing by as much as 80 per cent since January — and nearly 6 per cent last month.
