KARACHI: SPLA observes protest day

KARACHI, Nov 25: On the appeal of the Sindh Professors and Lecturers’ Association, Karachi region, teachers in about 100 colleges in the city observed a protest day against the policies of the city district government Karachi, SPLA general-secretary Mohammad Akbar Khan said.

He said the teachers held protest meetings at their respective colleges and criticized the policies of the city government pertaining to education.

An emergency meeting of the SPLA was also held with its president Prof Ather Hussain in the chair. It demanded abolition of the posts of EDO and DO and restoration of the directorate of colleges.—APP
