Usman’s fine performance

RAWALPINDI, Nov 20: Inzamamul Haq XI defeated Waqar Younis XI by five wickets in the last match of the Twin City Cricket Academy Under-15 Championship at the Rawalpindi Stadium.

Waqar Younis boys put on 114 for eight off their 20 overs, a total in which Waqas Waheed contributed 38 with Kamran Baig scoring 17.

Inzamam XI cruised home scoring 117 for five in 18.3 overs, Ali Sarfraz being the top run-getter with 38. Asad Zahid (23 not out) and Ikram Khan were the other notable scorers.

For his fine show behind the wickets that saw him stumping four batsmen and taking one catch, Usman Murtaza of the winning side was declared Man of the Match.

Thursday’s final, Inzamam XI will play Saeed Anwar XI.
