KARACHI, Nov 20: Omar CC registered a convincing 98 runs victory over Osama CC in Dr M.A.Shah Floodlight tournament Tuesday night.

Aasked to bat first Omar CC accumulated the highest total of the event by piling up 201 for three wickets in 20 overs thanks to sparkling half centuries from Sajid Hanif and Saqib Zia.

Sajid hit nine boundaries in his 60 and Saqib Zia cracked 57 with five hits the boundary. Tariq Haroon struck five boundaries and a six in his 35. Leg spinner Arif Ahmed took two wickets for 40 runs.

Osama CC in reply could manage just 103 for six in their quota of 20 overs.Hasan Akram hit a defiant 53 laced with a six and five hits to the ropes. Arif Ahmed made an unbeaten 22 with two 4s.

Iqbal Shaikh (2-10) and Nadeem Omer (2-21) were the main wicket-takers.—APP
