SAHIWAL, Nov 16: The US has successfully used Pakistan rulers as tools to eliminating the Taliban government and bringing the Northern Alliance, once their worst enemies, in power.

This was stated by Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan while talking to newsmen here at the residence of former PPP leader Rao Aftab Ahmad on Friday.

Maintaining dual standards, he said the US had violated human rights by killing innocent people in Afghanistan but every country remained silent. Northern Alliance minus Pushtoons was not likely to succeed, he added.

He said Pakistan had landed herself on unsafe shores as war was not over.

Replying to a question, the TI chief ruled out possibility of any compromises with Benazir or Nawaz Sharif.

He maintained Nawaz Sharif had offered him three seats of the National Assembly but he preferred staying away to continue fight against corruption. He alleged both the parties cheated their workers.

He expressed concern over recession in exports and business world. Vocal against the national government of consensus, he said elections should be conducted by the army through independent election commission.

RALLY: Pak-Afghan Defence Council on Friday observed ‘Black Day’ to condemn US bombardment in Afghanistan for personal motives.

Addressing a rally at the Liaquat Chowk, Maulana Ziaullah Shah Bokhari, Munawar Ali Khan, Dr Abdul Qadeer Lashari and Mehar Abbas lashed the American bombardment on civilians.

They lambasted Pakistan’s stance on war, insisting the term ‘Islamic bomb’ was a farce.
