ISLAMABAD, Nov 7: Golra police have registered a case of fraud against the former MNA and Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader, Ghulam Hassan Cheema, and his son, Tasaddaq Hussain Cheema, for selling a plaza, which was mortgaged with Muslim Commercial Bank against a loan of Rs53.7442 million.

According to the FIR registered on October 30, the two accused, after preparing fake documents, sold the property to Aslam Pervez.

Mr Pervez told police that he purchased Gulrez plaza from the accused through Royal State Agents and Builders, F-10 Markaz.

The plaza, which has been built on an area of four kanal and 10 marlas, is located in Gulrez Housing Scheme, Rawalpindi, under registration (Intiqal) No 3210.

The accused assured Aslam Pervez that there was no loan and any other outstanding amount against the property.

On the other hand, the bank, on default of loan, had already filed a civil suit against the accused in Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi bench.

The police, however, has launched search operations against the accused.
