LAHORE, Nov 5: Leading jockey Shahid Rehman, once again completely dominated the day, when he rode home all his three mounts to victory during the Lahore Gymkhana races at the Racecourse Tuesday.

Shahid first strode to victory three to one Gently in the third race following it up with an easy success on 40 to 100 favourite Bach View in the fourth race.

He went on to complete his treble through half-money favourite Chief Executive in the sixth race. It may be mentioned here that Shahid had ridden five winners in-a-row on last Sunday .

Munir Ahmad Dar’s three-year-old colt Chief Executive outclassed his eleven rivals to win the feature event.

In the initial stages of the race Chief Executive was fourth behind front-runners Afnan, Dhandhana and Popeye Well. He burst into speed 300 metres from home and collared leaders to finally win from Dhandhana by one-and-a-half lengths.

Popeye Well charting an erratic course finished third, four lengths further behind while Afnan faded out to fourth position. This was Chief Executive’s second win in three days.

In the fifth and supporting event, a long shot bay filly Silver Heart owned by Arif Khurshid, made it two in-a-row by winning the race from Silver Charm. Lucky Bailiff and fancied Star ‘N’ Stripes finished third and fourth, respectively.

A 40 to 100 favourite Bach View owned by S. M. Naeem galloped to victory in a stormy fashion in the fourth race. He defeated Burrat Again by three-fourth of a length.

Russian Pet and Free My Heart made up the frame.

Three favourites obliged in a card of six events. All races were contested over the sprinting distance of 1200 metres.
