LAHORE, Nov 2: An unbeaten knock of 76 Ashar Zaidi and equally fine batting by Asim Kamal helped Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL) to 260 for nine in their first innings on the opening day of the four-day Kardar Trophy cricket tournament final against Sui Gas in Muridke Saturday.
According to a message received here, PTCL lost four wickets for 96 before Asim, who made 65, and Ashar came together in a fifth-wicket partnership of 62 in the match being played at Lahore Country Club.
All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez took the bowling honours for Sui Gas by picking up three for 44 with his off-spinners.
There were two wickets each for pacer Wasim Khan and off-spinner Kashif Shafi.
