MUZAFFARABAD, Nov 1: Two brothers were gunned down by their opponents in the southern Mirpur district of Azad Kashmir on Friday allegedly over a land dispute, police sources said.
Azhar Iqbal and Zafar Iqbal, sons of Chaudhry Mohammad Ayub were sprayed with bullets allegedly by Abdul Aziz, Mohammad Maroof, Mohammad Aslam and Mohammad Farooq, in Chakswari Bazaar, sources said, adding both died on the spot.
The cause of murder, said the sources, was an old dispute between the two sides over the ownership of land, sources said, adding that police had arrested the accused.
It may be recalled that in September, three people were killed in Kotli district, also over a land dispute.
