KARACHI: Man shot dead

KARACHI, Oct 30: A young man was shot dead by unknown assailants outside his house in Paposhnagar, North Nazimabad Town, Wednesday night.

Police said 40-year-old Pervez Islam was called out from his house in Allama Iqbal Town, situated in front of Paposhnagar graveyard by the bandits, who shot him in the head and escaped on a motorcycle. The victim was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was pronounced.

The deceased worked in a factory and had just returned from work. Till our going to press, the victim’s political or sectarian affiliation could not be ascertained.
