KARACHI, Oct 28: Patron in chief of Towel Manufacturers’ Association, S.M.A. Rizvi has suggested to the government to levy duty at prevalent rates on the import of luxury and electronic goods under the Afghan Transit Trade. The duty so collected then could be remitted to Afghanistan.

In a statement on Monday, Rizvi said the country in the past had economically suffered huge losses on account of smuggling under the garb of ATT, which resulted in revenue losses as well as causing injury to the local industry.
