DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 21: About 70,000 children under five years of age would be vaccinated against polio during the immunization campaign to be launched in Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday.
This was decided at a meeting presided over by the Executive District Health Officer, Dr Ehsanullah Khan, at the Zanana Hospital the other day.
The meeting was attended, besides others, by Dr Tahir Nadeem, the official in-charge of the EPI, and representatives of various NGOs.
The meeting decided that at least 70,000 children of five years and below would be given polio vaccine during the three-day campaign.
