MULTAN, Oct 20: The younger brother of Multan Range DIG police is among the MPAs elected on PML-Q ticket in the Punjab.
MPA-elect Ijaz Ahmed Sohel (PP-162, Sheikhupura-I) of Narang Mandi is the younger brother of DIG Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed Sohel.
Observers say that Ijaz Sohel’s nomination by the Chaudhrys of Gujrat was in line with their established policy to promote their Jat biradari and have a bond with the bureaucracy. Ijaz fulfils both the conditions.
