HYDERABAD, Oct 20: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s legislators-elect have criticized the sacking of 567 recently recruited employees of the postal department in Sindh.

In a joint statement issued here on Saturday, MNA-elect Prof Khalid Wahab and MPAs-elect Aslam Pervez (and Naeem Ishtiaq termed the decision of sacking the economic murder of 567 families.

They said that the employees had been recruited after completing necessary formalities and served the department for one and a half month but suddenly, the director general, Pakistan Post Offices, issued a letter, terminating their services without assigning any reason.

They said that the action of the director general was illegal and unconstitutional.

The Muttahida leaders appealed to President Gen Pervez Musharraf to take notice of the illegal orders of the director general, Pakistan Post Offices, and order reinstatement of the dismissed employees.
