KARACHI, Oct 20: A young man and a small boy fell victim to reckless driving in the city on Sunday.

A 19-year-old young man died in a road accident in North Karachi. Police said that Mohammed Fazal, riding on a motorcycle (KAD-1151), was knocked down by an unidentified speeding truck near UP Mor in North Karachi. He died on the spot. The truck driver sped off after the accident.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

A five-year-old boy was run over by a minibus in Saddar. His mother was injured.

Police said Sano died after he came under the wheels of a minibus of route U-1 when two minibuses of the same route were trying to overtake each other on Daudpota Road.

The boy’s mother has been admitted to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

Police claimed to have arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle.

Aurangzeb, aged 24, was shot dead by his father-in-law Naseem on Masan Road. As Naseem was fleeing after opening fire on his son-in-law, Aurangzeb’s friends tried to catch hold of him. Naseem also opened fire on Karim, Ajaz, Nadeem and Abrar Shah.

Police said that Aurangzeb had married Naseem’s daughter about 30 days back. The girl left her house to marry Aurangzeb, who sold fruit on Masan Chowk. Naseem was absconding.
