KARACHI, Oct 19: Fourth seed Jehanzeb Masood gave top seed Karamatullah a testing time before going down fighting 3-2 in the final of boys Under-19 event of Sindh Ranking Squash Championship at Pakistan Navy’s Roshan Khan/Jahangir Khan Squash Complex Saturday.
Jehanzeb took the fiercely contested extended opening game 17-15. But Karamat fought back to draw abreast by taking the second game 15-13.
Jehanzeb however, maintained pressure on Karamat as he again forged 2-1 ahead by winning the third game 15-13.
The last two games saw Jehanzeb running out of steam and taking advantage, Karamatullah came on equal terms by winning the fourth game.
Muhammad Naeem won the boys under-15 title with an easy 15-9, 17-15, 15-10 win over Zohaib Ahmed lasting 30 minutes.
Sadia Riaz of Karachi defated Sumeira Haq Arain of Sukkur 9-1, 9-4, 9-1 in mere 21 minutes to take the girls under-19 title.—APP
