KARACHI: MQM seeks people’s opinion

Published October 20, 2002

KARACHI, Oct 19: The coordination committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has asked the people to suggest whether to join the coalition government or to sit in the opposition, both in provincial and federal governments.

The committee had consulted Altaf Hussain on the issue who stated that it was committee’s job to make a decision, but he further proposed that the committee should seek proposals from people and workers whether to join the government or not.

The coordination committee has requested the people and workers to apprise them of their viewpoint.

Suggestion would be received till Oct 23 at all zonal, sector offices and at Nine-Zero.

In addition, Nine Zero’s Fax No. 6329955, International Secretariat’s Fax No. 0044-208-9529282 or their e-mail address mqmmqm.org can be utilized for providing suggestions.

The MQM would make the decision keeping in view the recommendations of the people.—PPI
